Mav Draft Predictions

First, I would like to introduce myself considering this is my first post on Moneyball. I am RC Maxfield-Bradbury I am 19, I am from Irving,TX and I am currently majoring in Sports Management.

OK, considering the Eastern conference looks like crap this year except for Miami and Indiana. Therefore the Mavs pick will go to OKC. So in the case the Mavs will have two 2nd round picks. I know 2nd round picks in the NBA usually don't mean much but considering Crowder has been so meaningful to the Mavs its exciting to check out.

On nbadraft.net (a site i trust personally), has the Mavs selecting the 46th and the 52nd picks. As of now they have us selecting Russ Smith from Louisville at 46th and Jordan Bachynski from Arizona State at 52nd.

* Projected pick by nbadraft.net - Russ Smith PG/SG 6' 185pounds. I personally don't see Russ Smith being a Mav. We are loaded at guard and having Larkin already and him being a smaller Guard, I don't see us selecting him. A guy to keep in mind at 46 for us is Aaron Craft from Ohio State.

* My prediction - Aaron Craft PG 6'2 195pounds. He is another guard and i know I said we are loaded at guard but Craft is a lock down defender. The problem with the Mavs is our guards don't play defense well. Devin Harris isn't back yet i know but Craft is a leader and commander defensively on a Top 3 team in the nation.

With the 52nd pick I see this as a pick to take a flyer on a PF or C

* Projected pick by nbadraft.net - Jordan Bachynski C 7'2 250pounds. I've watched some of his game tape from ASU and he is stat sheet filler. He averages 13ppg, 10reb and 5blk a game. The Pac-12 isn't the greatest league in America but though's are damn good stats. If the Mavs did draft him, I could see him be a back-up Center and maybe develop into a reliable starting center like Sammy D in his prime.

* My prediction - I agree 100% with nbadraft.net . I think Jordan would be a great pick up for the Mavs organization and could develop into a reliable Center.

What do you think about nbadraft.net projections for the 46th and 52nd picks?

What do you think of mine?
