but hopefully now that free agency has ended this will all come to an close. Hopefully all those involved have realized that mistakes were made and have considered how things could have been done differently.
Me personally, I'm more relieved than you can ever know. I was insanely worried we WOULD get Dwight. I don't trust his body and I trust his attitude even less, doubt I ever will. There are already mock tweets circulating saying "Dwight unhappy in Houston". I think that's just how he's gonna be and i think we want no part of it. That's not to mention his surgically repaired back...
Now that we've bricked on Deron, CP3 and Dwight hopefully the management gets that this roster isn't making anyone say "hmm, I could go gets me a ring wit dem boys". I still think we have the bigger issue to deal with that nobody understands what a players value is going to have to be in order for teams to operate comfortably under the cap. You have like 50 million so if you have three guys that make 15 mil a year you have 5 mil left for 9 dudes salary or pay heavy taxes. Mark my words, in a year or two we will hear some ESPN analyst chronicling how Houston is short on money and has to waive player A so they can afford to resign player B. Hell, that's how Harden left OKC to begin with, couldn't afford to keep the band together.
Anyway, now that all the big shiny overpriced toys are off the shelf here's hoping we can move forward smarter and with new resolve. Stop trying to swing for the fences with ready-made talent and try to home-grow some young talent of our own for once. Keep your heads up Mavericks fans and as always GO MABS!!!
