Dallas and Cents: 8/16/2013 Edition

USA TODAY Sports

A look around the web at what's being said about the Dallas Mavericks

1.) Bradford Doolittle (Insider) takes a look at which teams have improved or gotten worse. He ranks the Mavericks as one of his three teams most likely to improve this year, really going against the grain of the general consensus.

2.) Slam Magazine does a cool interview with Jae Crowder where they talk Dirk, Marquette, and defense.

3.) Zach Harper of CBS's Eye on Basketball blog gives his grade for the Mavericks off-season. Harper dishes out a B-, saying the more he thinks about the moves, the more he realizes Dallas might very well be okay next season.

4.) Bryan Gutierrez of the Two Man Game put together a four part series he called Rorschach, using word associations to describe the Mavericks roster. Each one is a fun read and is a good jump off point for debate. Check them out. (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4)

5.) SportsDayDFW.com got Mark Cuban on the record about why Chris Kaman wasn't a good fit. His answer, while accurate, may surprise you.
