Possible Mavs draft picks

Another week has gone and the Mavs still don't have their 1st round pick. They have a Top 20 protected pick but currently that pick is OKC at 21st overall. However, we can still look at the two 2nd round picks we have. One is currently at 38th overall and 51st overall.

At the 38th overall pick nbadraft.net has us selecting Laquinton Ross 6'7 220lbs SF from Louisville. He is a long athletic guy. His shot doesn't need any work at all. He averaged 15 points last year in the NCAA Tourny and is solid on the defensive side of the ball. His length is what caught my eye. I do like Ross but I see someone with more size being available at this pick.

* My pick at 38th overall - James McAdoo 6'9 230lbs PF University of North Carolina. If you would have told me two years ago that any mock draft would have James McAdoo available in the 2nd round at 38th overall I would have just laughed in your face. This guy has top 10 potential and is one of the most athletic big men in CBB. He is a little small for the PF position but his athleticism makes up for that. He runs the floor quick and can play above the rim and thats something the Mavs have truly been lacking recently.

At the 51st pick nbadraft.net has us selecting Thanasis Antetokounmpo 6'7 215lbs SG/SF INT. I know absolutely nothing about this guy but his last name sounds familiar then i realized, O his brother got drafted by the Bucks last year in the 1st round. On tap he plays exactly like his brother. He is athletic and solid on the defensive end.

*My pick at 51st overall - LeBryan Nash 6'7 235lbs SF Oklahoma State University. This guy is special. When he cam out of HS, I thought he would be a one and done guy but he struggled as a Freshman. He is now a Jr and has developed into his body. He is strong and athletic, his shot needs work but for his size he can bang on the post. He runs well and plays defense well for his size. At OSU he is a PF which doesn't suite him but his game as a SF could translate into the NBA . A player comparison is Ron Artest.

So nbadraft.net has us selecting Laquinton Ross and Thanasis Antetokounmpo. What do you think of their picks?

I choose James McAdoo and LeBryan Nash.. What do you think of my picks?
