The Dallas Mavericks are on a two game slide, and could really use a win against New Orleans to get things headed back in the right direction. However, they'll need to right the ship without two starters, as Tyson Chandler and Chandler Parsons have both been ruled out for Monday's game.
Parsons is missing his fifth straight game with a bone bruise in his ankle. It was first thought that the small forward would only miss three games. Richard Jefferson has started in his absence, and has averaged nine points on 33.33% shooting, and 5.25 rebounds in just over 30 minutes per game.
Chandler is missing his third consecutive game with a hip contusion. It is unclear who will start in his place. Bernard James got the start against Atlanta, while Dirk shifted to the center position to start Saturday's game against Brooklyn.
Meanwhile, the Pelicans will be without Anthony Davis for the sixth consecutive game, as well as Ryan Anderson and Jrue Holiday. Somehow the Pelicans have managed a five game winning streak in the Brow's absence, and without Chandler & Chandler, it wouldn't be a total shock to see that streak increase to six.
