The Mavs almost lost to the Spurs even though TD [the real MVP] didn't even play the fourth quarter. You guys better hope [even though it seems quite inevitable] that the Mavs don't meet the Spurs in the WC finals...

but they are still the team to beat in West.

They are the reigning Western Comference Champions, and they wrapped up the top seed this season with two weeks left to play...

im not talking trash about 1999 or 2001 DUDE...

key, youre like the guy who sat in front of me at the lakers game... when it was evident the lakers were gonna lose, all he wanted to talk about was.. how many titles have the mavs won? the lakers have won this many blah blah blah...

stop living in the past and come up with something intelligent to say... all i hear from you is.... win a championship and pray you dont face the spurs... but why key? but why? cuz we beat them 3 times in a row this year and beat them in a 7 game series last year with a team that is not as good as this years version?

and people wonder why we hate spurs fans...

just because a ping pong fell your way after you lucked into a drob injury doesnt make you know more about basketball... it just makes you more annoying... now go clean up the riverwalk... it smells

In the short time I've been here, I've noticed how Wes knows how to react and respond in a reasonable way. You, on the other hand...

"stop living in the past" says zkmavz.
Recognize this? "...man too bad we didnt beat them last year..." Now correct me if I'm wrong, but is "last year" in the past, or not?
Or maybe you recognize this one, in the very same "stop living in the past" paragraph? "...and beat them in a 7 game series last year..." Why would you want to talk only about last year instead of, say, 2003 [when the Spurs defeated the Mavs in the playoffs]?

It's ok for you to talk about last year, but the Spurs' past is not fair game? And you want me to say something intelligent?

You claim that you're not scared, but even AJ, who probably knows a bit more about basketball than you do, seems to know what will most likely happen when the games really count. As of yesterday's game, the Mavs had already clinched home court and they were playing a 'meaningless' game w/the Spurs. Yet after TD was ejected, there was AJ, rushing Dirk and Josh back into the game in the fourth quarter. Why? He saw his team, on their own court, not being able to finish off the Spurs, even though the Spurs were playing without their best player.

Avery knows how razor-close that series was last year, and how a bad whistle or a bad play can determine the whole outcome. He's got a proper fear, and deep down he doesn't want to have to face the Spurs in the WC finals. But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves - both the Mavs and the Spurs have a tough road ahead.

zkmavz, I would encourage you to cut out the personal attacks and seek to respond with more humility. Deep down, you probably wish that you could live in a city that has a Riverwalk...

things i agree with that you said... avery does know more about bball than i do...and ive been drunk on the riverwalk more than a few times... so i do like it...

as for avery being scared of playing the spurs in a 7 game series... he may be... hes also prob scared of the first round opponenent and houston... just as pop(scariest face on hd ever)is scared of the nuggets and suns...

we will for sure be able to continue this when games that matter actually start... and ive said this before many times on this site... the suns stand no chance vs the spurs... so itll be mavs-spurs in the west finals... and im sure you agree with me on that one
