According to the DMN blog
Damp, Stack, Josh, and Dirk won't play.  Can we still pull off the win?

by Marie on Apr 17, 2007 8:30 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, why not?
Talk about making a statement. Maybe Harris goes for 30 and 10? It ain't like GS won't let you score on 'em.

maybe not.
According to Followill on the broadcast, Harris won't start.

JJ and Moe in the starting five
Nice.

What kind of odds can I get on a Barea triple double?

by Wes Cox on Apr 17, 2007 9:44 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

only if you count turnovers
i kid, of course. i just like to see quality minutes from the bench. really gives you an idea of what you got if someone gets hurt.

You know what Wes?
I honestly wouldn't take the bet from you.  It'll come closer than anyone would have ever thought at the beginning of the year.

Starting five
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! <GASP> HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Oh man.  That's one of the best laughs I've had in a while.  I mean, I'm not laughing at the players- Ager and JJ will be valuable, Buck and Diop have played central roles in the season, and George has been the single most valuable addition to the Mavs this year.  But for Avery to have the sheer balls to run that group out as the starting 5 for tonights game, against the same team we'll be facing in the first round of the playoffs?  Thems cojones the size of orange roundie himself.  I love it.

And with that being said, I'd love to see us win.  If they can somehow grind it out, then I'd put money on us winning a 7 game series in 3...

by BrodyV on Apr 17, 2007 9:52 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

And according to the FWST
J-Ho had to borrow a jacket from someone in order to be able to sit on the bench.  What size is Bob Ortegel, anyway?

If the Warriors lose to this lineup
then to quote Al Harrington
it could be demoralizing and have them second-guessing themselves going into the playoffs

im watching on league pass
these gsw announcers are great! its like they are playing a team full of stars tonight!

i know its a huge game for gsw, but still pretty funny

I'm watching the Clippers game on NBA TV
They still have a chance even if the Warriors win tonight and they (the Clips) win?  Or do the Warriors have to lose?

by Marie on Apr 17, 2007 10:09 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Because they lost the other night
The Warriors have to lose.  If the Warriors win out, they're in.  If the Clips lose, the Warriors are in.  The Clips have to win out, and get a Warriors loss to grab th 8 spot.

Thank you
I can still hope.  The Mavs can still turn it around.

by Marie on Apr 17, 2007 10:14 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

If both win tonight,
Then GSW has to lose to Portland and the Clippers have to beat Hornets

by Wes Cox on Apr 17, 2007 10:13 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

From what I'm hearing on the Mavs radio
The team is shooting too many jumpers.  And they have a lot of turnovers.

by Marie on Apr 17, 2007 10:17 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

This group
has no idea what to do together offensively.

by Wes Cox on Apr 17, 2007 10:20 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

yeah, it's pretty bad.
any time you have ghana backing down to the basket, the well is going dry. made worse by the fact that they're not hitting open shots.

What is Avery trying to prove with this lineup?
I mean, say that they win without Dirk, Stack, Damp, and Josh.  That can send a message saying that without our best players we can still win.  Or is Avery simply just wanting to rest his players and the outcome of the game doesn't matter?

by Marie on Apr 17, 2007 10:25 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

The latter
The lineup tonight could be translated literally as "F-you Nellie.  I'm not even going to try.  See you in two weeks."

by BrodyV on Apr 17, 2007 10:29 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

I'm not sure.
He's definitely NOT saying "we're scared to play you in the fist round." And that's a message of its own.

by Wes Cox on Apr 17, 2007 10:29 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

I'm pretty sure it's rest and injury prevention.
If not, they may want to examine him for head trauma.

Pops
MENSA-BONSU!

by BrodyV on Apr 17, 2007 10:41 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

All right
They scored 31 in the first half.  I didn't want them to be in the 20s.

by Marie on Apr 17, 2007 10:44 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Bob just pointed out
That the Mavs don't have a three pointer yet.

by Wes Cox on Apr 17, 2007 11:25 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Suns lose
Clippers still have a small chance.  They play NO/OKC tomorrow while Golden State play the Blazers.

by Marie on Apr 17, 2007 11:27 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Still no made 3-pointer...
690 game streak on the line.

by Wes Cox on Apr 17, 2007 11:48 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Ouch...
This is painful to watch... reminds me so much of the 90s.

by chevs10zr2 on Apr 17, 2007 11:49 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Still no 3!
why do I care? I'm not sure...

by Wes Cox on Apr 17, 2007 11:56 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

AGER
He nails a three and the streak survives

by Wes Cox on Apr 18, 2007 12:03 AM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Barea gets a double-double
seven more assists and I would have been a genius!
