No MRI For Dampier
According to Jeff Caplan, Dampier and the Mavs doctors saw enough improvement in his left knee that an MRI will not be necessary.
No official word yet, but there is still no reason to think he'll be ready for Detroit on Wednesday.

two things:
- mri is a non-intrusive examination procedure, why don't they just give damp an mri to see exactly what happens to his knees?
- more worrisome, is damp breaking down? if for each great game he puts up, he'll have to miss the next two weeks, that does not seem to be a good investment for cuban.
Maybe they don't want to pay for it.
I think Dampier injured his knee in a knee-to-knee collision, so I'll put this one more in the fluke catogory than the wear-and-tear category.
