Howard hurt his back, Dirk's back hurts, Stack's hamstring hurts, Dampier's ankle hurts, Devin's akle still hurts. Consecutive losses to the Nets and Sixers where the Mavs averaged 79 points. Oh, and a new franchise record.

After losing to the Nets and Sixers, who have a combined record of 44-59, the Mavericks are only 12-11 against the Eastern Conference.

Even worse is that their second-half performance Monday was the worst in their history. Dallas scored only 23 points in the second half, which is its all-time low. The two previous lows of 24 points were set by the 1996-97 and 1997-98 teams.

Please tell me this is the low point of the season.

Momentum into the playoffs

As much as I want to panic right now, I agree with you, Wes. I have to believe this is the low point w/ all the injuries, etc. As painful as they are to watch right now, give me this point right now instead of late March/early April.

I can only hope they get on a New York Giants type roll going into the playoffs. Trade or no trade; just be healthy and clicking on offense/defense like we've seen earlier this season.

When thinking about the Mavs potential to click on all cylinders, I think back to the Utah game here in the AAC. Give me that effort and we're golden. If not, I greatly fear the early exit again and then all hell breaks loose around Dallas.
