Sunday Mavs Stuff
Jeff Caplan has quotes from a variety of NBA players who support Devean George's decision to maintain his Bird rights.
"I think every player should worry about that. Yeah, he's holding up something big and some big deal for both teams.... He's doing the right thing, worrying about his own self."
Caplan also writes about the Stackhouse situation where nobody knows for sure if the NBA would allow him to resign with Dallas or not.
"Everybody was speculating and the best we can surmise is that other GMs around the league didn't want it to happen," Cuban said. "So they started putting in their two cents."
"Even though I don't want to give Stackhouse and the Mavs their defense too easily, things happen," Stern said. "He certainly is allowed to do that in terms of going back after 30 days. The big issue is whether there is an agreement to do it. And speculating about it doesn't make it an agreement, even if you wish he hadn't spoken."
JFE writes about what Devin Harris must be thinking and speculates that Avery is the one behind this trade.
-------------------
Dirk Nowitzki produced his own "Where Amazing Happens" commercial, and it will air during the All-Star game tonight.
--------------------
Mike Fisher and David Lord write about what we know happened with the Kidd trade and what else they think happened.
-------------------
I'm going to be continually updating the Jason Kidd timeline with all the latest news until the trade deadline passes. There will be a link to it at the top of the page.
