i guess its nice as an outlet. but any game against an above 500 team seems like an automatic loss these days. i never knew it was possible for a coach to go through a slump

i successfully only watched about 7 seconds

of the game tonight.. i flipped over for the score a few times... i checked occasionally on espn.com... what a bunch of losers this team has... it is flat out embarrassing to me a mavs fan... i have more heart than these bitches.. i care more about this team than the losers playing for it... i hope this POS team lucks out on the lottery and gets derrick rose... nice trade cuban.. youve ruined my year... bastard

since jkidd got here

0-10 vs teams with a winning record... there is no F'ING way that our record would be that bad if we didnt make the trade... i hated the trade then... i absolutely despise it now... i miss devin harris... i miss diop... i loved that team... i loved those guys and now i got spare me to death jason kidd and a freakin aggie in awright... i hate the aggies... i dont want an aggie on my team... not a surprise we are losing all the time since we got an aggie... im depressed... kill me

Well...

I'll address this. The 0-10 is VERY misleading (much like the Rockets winning streak was very misleading). We aren't remotely that bad, and the Rockets aren't remotely that good.

I just had an email exchange with Serhat from NBAstuffer.com, and he did some custom analysis for us that I'll post tomorrow. The bottom line: Our offense is a little bit worse (primarily due to our turnovers), while our defense is a lot better.

As far as I'm concerned that's about as ideal as we could have hoped for in this trade. Our offense had issues, but our defense was a much bigger problem. Kidd addressed both.

By the way, Wes and I were both against the trade, but in hindsight I think that it was a pretty good move. Not sure what Wes thinks, but that's my 2 cents.

you cant think this was a good move... stats are great... i love stats... but the bottom line is 0-10 vs winning teams... they arent getting it done when it matters... our D stats may be better.. whatever.. when it comes down to it... 0-10 says this was an awful move... absolutely awful

It was a good move

Sorry, can't agree with you when you don't point to anything other than a streak (which includes two games with Dirk not playing and one game with two starters out).

You could use the same argument and say the Rockets are much better with Yao in the D league since they had that amazing run with him on crutches.

If Avery loosens the reins..

I think that the offense could change and we could see the true JKidd offense and not him forced in to an ISO offense in which he doesnt flourish. Until that point I don't think we can really judge if this was a success or not.

i really think kidd could play a lot better

especially if freaking avery would just sit down and let him play basketball. theres very few possesions where kidd is bringing the ball down the court and aj is not screaming at him what to do.

it even proves that hes an awful micromanaging coach when harris said he was excited about going to NJ because he was going to finally be able to relax and just play basketball. then harris' numbers explode once he gets to play his own game. i wonder how well this team could do without avery riding their butts 99% of the game. it almost seems like hes trying to make this team conform to the exact playing style of his freaking championship spurs team. you cant fit a square peg in a round hole

Why

was Dampier on the bench so much last night. Didn't he have a pretty good game last time GS came to town? And he's been even more effective with Kidd. Seems like another instance of us adjusting to them instead of playing our game. I'm not suggesting that Dampier is the secret to us beating GS, but when something is effective, why change it?
