This preseason is starting to look a lot like the Mavs summer league showing. Dallas is now 0-3. Not that record matters -- there were plenty of good things to take away from the game tonight.
The biggest was the play of DeSagana Diop. He wants to start. After a couple of below average games coming of the bench in the first two losses, Diop got the start tonight and was great. 15 rebounds in 24 minutes - seven offensive.
Jose Barea got the start as well but had his worst game of the preseason. He played 35 minutes, but had more turnovers (4) than assists (3) and shot 3-15 from the field. Despite that, it appears he's the favorite to win the 15th spot at this point. The injury to Devin Harris and the absence of Jason Terry have given him a great opportunity to get on the court.
