Sefko has an article about Dirk's recent hot streak which is almost identical to Art Garcia's article yesterday.
The 7-footer has averaged 30.7 points in the three-game winning streak, which came after his only game of the young season under 20 points (19 at the Clippers). He has shot at least 50 percent in all three games after failing to do so in three of the opening four losses.
Nowitzki has finished third in the MVP voting the last two seasons. He's already proving he will be in the conversation again this year. He's had five double-doubles in seven games. That's in contrast to last November, when he started the season slower with five double-doubles in the first 14 games.

Garcia touches on a bunch of subjects in his 'notes' article but the interesting bit is about Howard.
Josh Howard (ankle) did some light shooting Thursday and may resume practice next week. If all goes well, he could play Nov. 24 at San Antonio.
Yesterday was Howard's first time back on the court. I had originally guessed that his first game back would be at San Antonio and hopefully that's correct. The Mavs will most likely be back at .500 and a win on the road against the Spurs would make everyone forget the cold start.--------------------
And Sefko has random notes article as well with funny Del Harris story.
Back when he was coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, someone brought Harris a crossword puzzle. Sure enough, one of the clues was: Shannon and Harris.
The answer, of course: "Dels."
"I thought it would be a big thing to make it to the big leagues or something like that," Harris said. "But when you're an answer to a crossword puzzle clue, I guess you've really made it."
