'King of the Whale Killers' was named to the D-League All-Star team this afternoon.
Mensah-Bonsu has been the league's best rebounder by far since being assigned to the Flyers by the Dallas Mavericks. He leads the league with 11.6 rebounds, nearly two more than the next closest player. The 6-9 Mensah Bonsu, who was an undrafted rookie free agent out of George Washington, is also among the league leaders in blocks with 1.2 per game. A very athletic player, Mensah-Bonsu has also managed to contribute offensively for a Flyers team that is not lacking when it comes to scorers. He is averaging 13.7 points on .553 (68-123) shooting.
That write-up from NBA.com actually sells him short. He's really averaging 1.47 blocks per game and 15.2 points.- Mensah-Bonsu's Game by Game Stats
