In news that doesn't do much for me, the Mavs are going to workout Kevin Willis tomorrow. Willis played 29 games with the Hawks in the 04-05 season when he was 42 years old.

Sefko recaps the game and Dirk explains how he was able to play.

"This morning, I was really struggling," Nowitzki said after scoring 15 points in 23 minutes. "But I got some good rest, and I ate enough medicine to cure a small German village, I guess.

"They asked me if I wanted to stay in the hotel. But I took a shower after my nap, and I actually felt good enough to play."
Words that put a smile on Scott Pollard's face.

Garcia got a telling quote after the game.
"We had to take two guys out of there who weren't competing defensively," Johnson said. "Once we got some new guys in there, we picked it back up."

Stackhouse, Jason Terry and DeSagana Diop subbed in for Devean George, Erick Dampier and an ill Dirk Nowitzki. The Mavs responded with an 11-0 run.

Avery Johnson on the Western Conference.
"It's something that scares the life out of you," he said. "Teams out here in the Western Conference are so talented, they're so good and well-coached, I just don't think anybody is going to be a favorite.

"I can really see a lot of the series going six games and seven. I just think no team is going to be a favorite come playoff time. I really believe that."

Eddie Sefko throws out the possibility of DFW native Desmond Mason joining the Mavs next season. Fun Desmond Mason fact - he hasn't attempted a three all season and is 2 for 9 outside 12 feet. NOT a good shooter...

Injury Update: Devean George won't play tonight. It's part of Avery's pan to rest him on the second night of back-to-backs. Dirk and Buckner should be ready to go.
