Jan Hubbard writes about the more up tempo offense Dallas will play this season and wonders if that style could be more grinding on the veterans.

"My opinion is that it’s more demanding in term of aerobic conditioning," Carlisle said of the running game. "And I’m not sure it’s less demanding from a physical bump-and-grind standpoint. But people that are familiar with Phoenix’s style swear that, overall, it’s no more difficult because there is less contact."

Eddie Sefko says Dampier is looking to play with more emotion this season.

"A lot of people say Damp is shy and reserved, which is true to some extent," he said. "But I'm going to take a more vocal role. It may be a step out of my character, but I'm going to try it. I'm not a yeller – just be more emotional out there on the court."

I feel like there is a story like this every preseason, but I'm pretty sure all Mavs fans know exactly what we are going to get from Dampier at this point.  Something like 7ppg/7rpg/2bpg, and a body.

"Somebody's going to have to put a body on Greg Oden and Andrew Bynum the next few years," Cuban said.
