Jim Reeves has an article on Rick Carlise being lost for words -- except for 'We gotta get a win'.
"We were right there. We had foul trouble, we were a rebound away and then one shot away. "That’s it. There’s not a whole lot else to say at this point." No, only one thing really. They gotta get a win.
Jason Terry is hopeful that when that win comes everything will turn around.
"You better get us now when we're going through what we're going through," Terry said defiantly. "We will get this win. And once we get it, we're going to be a heck of a team. You can see the potential is there. Just get one. Then watch out."
I really though that was what the San Antonio win was going to do, but instead the opposite happened... But that game seems to be a distant memory.
"I guess once you're in a funk, just everything else seems to go against you," Dirk Nowitzki said. "We have to battle ourselves to that first win. I think once we get the win, the bounces will go our way. But I think to get that first win is going to be tough."

From the things could be worse department...
Dallas dropped its first three home games of the year for the first time since the 1993-94 season. But it hardly stopped at three that year. The Mavericks went on to lose their first 19 home games.

"I expect, with better play, the minutes will come back,"

I couldn't find a single quote from Rick Carlisle on why Dampier did not come back in the game after he picked up the technical.
