Game Thread: Mavericks (10-4) at Spurs (13-1)

New, comments

Who: The San Antonio Spurs host the Dallas Mavericks

What: Do I even need to explain? This is the first meeting between the two teams since the Spurs felled the Mavs in the first round of the playoffs last year.

Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX

When: 7:30pm CT/ 8:30pm ET

How: League Pass | KENS | KTXA | WOAI | KESN

The Story:

The San Antonio Spurs are 13 - 1. Yep, you read that right. They are riding a 12 game winning streak, and they are doing so with a new, fast-paced style of play. The Mavericks have just come off of two key wins, but they were hard-fought. If they have any hope of avenging their loss(es) last season, they'll have to adjust to the new-look Spurs.

Vocal newcomer Tyson Chandler helps bring Mavs closer together
Part of becoming an elite team is thinking like one. A big step toward having that mentality is being a good teammate – a role reached only when you are genuinely rooting for your teammate while you are on the bench and he is taking some of your playing time.

So far, so good for the Mavericks this season
We tried a little different look to the newsletter this week, with the Thanksgiving Day holiday. Eddie Sefko has the day off, so we figured we'd do a quick review of the season. Happy Thanksgiving!
