Well, The Mavericks have gotten the streak up to 11 games, and the latest two have come on their home court. Tonight's game had some special meaning- Avery Johnson made his coaching debut on the visitor's bench. Sadly, the Nets couldn't help their new coach win his homecoming game.
Devin Harris went down early in the first quarter with a strained shoulder, and didn't return. The other former Maverick, Kris Humphries, made his mark with a pretty decent showing and a rim-rocking dunk or two, but in the end it just wasn't enough. The Mavericks held their lead, despite some mini-runs from the Nets. Thankfully, Dallas had some runs of their own and pulled away at the end of the fourth to come away with the 102-89 win.
Bryan will be posting his full recap when he gets back from the game, so for now, feel free to chat about the win, or about the upcoming game against the Jazz, or about the new bobbleheads.
