Change is in the Air at Mavs Moneyball

That's an ominus title, to say the least, but I can promise that if you continue to read this post only good things will come of it...

Still with me?  Good.  As you may have noticed, things have been a bit light at Mavs Moneyball and the lack of content does a bit of disservice to such a great team.  Well, that ends today as I am going to be taking over the day-to-day management and editorial control for Mavs Moneyball.  Your first question probably is, where'd Wes go?  Wes has decided to go in a different direction and I jumped at the chance to help build Mavs Moneyball into the premier destination I believe it should be for all Dallas Maverick fans.  Wes and his contributions to this blog over the years have been immeasurable.  Thanks is definitely due to him as he has been a great blogger and a passionate Mavs fan.

With that over, let's get into what makes me qualified to help tune-up the site.  My name is Zach and I have been a Dallas Mavericks fan ever since I first laid eyes on this fine sport played by the Association (it probably helps that my mother was a Mavericks fan in the 80s when they were horrible).  I was brought on by Phillip to do the game recaps as I was interested in writing for any Mavericks Blog that would have me and wouldn't stop until I accomplished that goal.  When I am not at my day job you can find me either talking about, writing about or reading about basketball as a have an unquenchable thirst for all things b-ball.  Finally, I sleep next to a signed copy of Dirk Nowitzki's picture.  Not enough?  Well, then you are a very tough crowd.

So that's a little bit about me but this really isn't about me, it's about you.  As the title mentioned, things are going to change here at Mavs Moneyball but don't think for a second some tyrant is here to usher in unpopular practices, quite the contrary.  I am merely the curator of this wonderful site and I have big dreams of making this the best Mavs site there is on the net but I can't do that without you.  So, drop a comment on the thread here and leave me your thoughts on where you think the site needs to improve and what you would like to see.  I can promise that all reasonable suggestions will be considered.  I will also be around to answer any and all questions you may have.

In the next few days I will be bringing in a few additional writers, working on article ideas, and taking your feedback on what we need to do to make this site what I will lovingly call MMB 2.0.

Your Curator,

Zach G aka zdgmans
