THE STORY: The Mavericks face the Lakers in the post season for the first time since 1988. Sadly, many of you weren't even ALIVE then. Good lord, am I that old? This promises to be a series filled with high quality basketball, and hopefully none of the shenanigans we saw in their last regular-season meeting. Kobe Bryant is having ankle problems, but he's playing, and he's a freak so we can't let up on him. Dirk Nowitzki is hungry... let's feed the big German. Sorry for the lack of links last round... settling in to a new city is tough! Anyhoo, they are after the jump. I am so pleased with how well we got along with the Blazers folks. Please try your best to be cordial to the Lakers fans over at Silver Screen and Roll, ok? Same rules apply... Hamm and I will ban trolls on our site, and we will ban you guys if we find out you're doing the trolling. Ok? Ok.
GO MABS!!! BEAT LA!!!

Can they clamp down defensively and secure the win? Does the offense bog down? Does the lead evaporate in a matter of minutes?
Mavericks believe they are on equal footing with Lakers
