Hey. Like football? Us too!
Just because this is a Dallas Mavericks blog doesn't mean you can't chat it up about America's team. Or, given our recent community residency poll, maybe we can call them the Phillipines' team? If you are not from the U.S and have no idea what I'm talking about, the Dallas Cowboys are America's team. Be sure to tell everyone this because Americans everywhere love hearing about how the Cowboys are America's team. It is a universally loved topic.
If you are or have ever been in the Metroplex, you'll know that preseason or not, a Cowboys opener is a big deal. Tonight the 'Boys start their 2012 preseason against the Oakland Raiders, live on ESPN at 8 PM ET.
Major storylines:
1) Will Dez Bryant play?
2) Who is going to emerge at center from a banged-up group?
3) How many times will the announcing crew mention Morris Claiborne and the supposed "issues" with owner Jerry Jones?
4) How many times will LJ Rotter let out a lonely sigh as she stares longingly from her bedroom window knowing she is trapped rooting for such an obviously inferior football team?
Also, if you're a fantasy football player or wish to be, check out this OT thread for info on joining the MMB fantasy football league.
If you aren't much into football, or just don't care at all about the preseason, by all means carry on as usual.
