Last night Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News reported that it's pretty likely Mike James will get a second 10 day contract after his expires Thursday night at midnight:
"I’d say that there’s a great chance that he’s going to be [a Maverick] tomorrow, after tonight," Carlisle said. "And by the way, I thought his play at the end of the third quarter and early in the fourth may have been the difference in the game."
I'm not sure what to make of this. As mentioned in the recap last night, the play of James was at points very helpful, but his shot selection was terrible. I also thought the benching of Darren Collison in that final minute in favor of James was a poor move, simply because Collison needs to know Carlisle has confidence in him.
What do you think? Good move by Dallas?
