THE STORY: The Mavericks "lost" a "thriller" to the Houston Rockets in their first preseason game on Tuesday -- and by "lost" I mean "the refs called a phantom foul to prevent overtime" and by "thriller" I mean "OMG 81 fouls whyyyyyy." I guess it's preseason for the refs too, but good lord, no game should take three hours. Let's hope this moves more smoothly with no injuries. Monta is out with a practice injury (that is not serious) and Dirk again won't be playing with that hip thing (but will be back Sunday). But the rest of the guys should be getting their minutes.
