Tonight the Mavs went into Orlando and paved the Magic 117-90 in what worked as a dress rehearsal game. The game wasn't televised, but I'm here to recap it anyways.
Chandler Parsons spearheaded the offensive assault on Orlando with 24 points including a 15-point third quarter. Dirk had 16 points all in the first half including four three-pointers. The offense fired on all cylinders with contributions from the entire roster.
The game was a homecoming of sorts for Jameer Nelson and Chandler Parsons. Nelson spent his entire career with the Magic before signing with the Mavs this offseason and Parsons is an Orlando native.
Al-Farouq Aminu provided some optimism tonight by shooting 3-5 on threes tonight. Aminu becoming a league average 3-point shooter would make him a fantastic weapon for Carlisle to use.
This game concludes the preseason. The Mavs finished at 4-4, which really means nothing. Real basketball starts on Tuesday when the Mavs play the Spurs on TNT.
Here are some tweets from media guys who were at the game.
Loud ovation for Chandler Parsons back in his hometown. LOUDER STANDING ovation for Jameer Nelson. #DALatORL

Wow. Dude tripped over Parsons while he was taking a three, but the offensive foul was called on Parsons, canceling out a three. #DALatORL
