WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs. New York Knicks
WHAT: Old faces in new places.
WHERE: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
WHEN: 6:30 p.m. CT
HOW: ESPN; FSSW
THE STORY: Happy Thanksgiving eve, Moneyballers. For your holiday, we have a nationally televised matchup between the two teams that were involved in the biggest trade of the offseason. For the Knicks, Shane Larkin has been their starting(!) point guard, but according to our esteemed colleague Seth Rosenthal over at Posting and Toasting, Jose Calderon will be back tonight. And hey, there's Samuel Dalembert! He wished me a happy Thanksgiving once, so I like him. For the good guys, Tyson Chandler will face his former team amid some criticism of how things were handled last year.
The Mavs should win this, especially with Carmelo Anthony out, but of course, they should have won the last game as well, and lots of "revenge factor" for players on both teams in this game. Who even knows.
One time I compared the Mavs to Taylor Swift songs and assigned "Red" to Derek Fisher so here you go! GO MAVS.
