Four-Pointer: Previewing the Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers aren't a good team but they are still incredibly popular.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

What has Los Angeles done lately?

The Lakers are a mess. They have lost seven of their last 10 games and currently are second to last in the Western Conference. L.A. is also racked with injuries. Kobe Bryant is out for the rest of the season after appearing in only six games. Jordan Farmar is injured once again and expected to miss two weeks. Pau Gasol, Xavier Henry, the resurgent Chris Kaman, and Steve Nash all missed Wednesday's game against the Kings. That's rough. Luckily, they are the most popular NBA team so suck it, all other franchises!

What are the Lakers' biggest strength and weakness?

Their biggest strength is that they are a team full of NBA players. NBA players are really good at basketball. Like, really. Watch them during shootaround before games. They hit almost every shot. It's crazy.

As for their weaknesses, well, they are a team full of less than spectacular NBA players hence their record.

Which Laker player might be due for a big game?

Let's go with Jodie Meeks. He has been known to light it up. He torched the Thunder earlier this year. So, him. Yeah. He'll have a good game. Or maybe Ryan Kelly. Yeah. Wait, they also have Swaggy P! Man, this team is kind of fun, isn't it? Like, you can't not like them, right? Oh, and they have Kendall Marshall. Yeah, all of them will have big games. You read it here first, folks.

Oh, damn! They also have Jordan Hill! This game is going to be awesome. I am being completely serious. They are like the Free Darko dream team.

What do the Mavs need to do to be successful against the Lakers?

Display a sense of self-worth.
