THE STORY: The Mavericks' California swing continues with an early game in Sacramento tonight. The Kings may be lottery-bound, but they're feisty as hell and have beat the Mavs already this season. This has all the makings of a classic "trap game" for the Mavs -- a team they should beat, coming off a hard fought win against the Clippers and another win against the Lakers. The Mavs cannot let this confidence give them a reason to play down. They need to keep the energy up, the mistakes minimal, the shooting hot, and the defense....well, existent.

No game is a gimme for this team. Especially against the Kings.
