1. MONTA SPEAKS: Kudos to Jason Gallagher for this Monta interview find: Part One / Part Two
2. MOCK. YEAH! ING. YEAH!: Some Mock Drafting from Bleacher Report, USA Today and Rants Sports. Apologies if certain sites make your eyelids bleed. One thing I've discovered while trying to pin down a second round draft target (aside from bottomless depression) for Dallas is that the players are all over the prospect map. Some are borderline first round guys, some are dudes that will probably be playing overseas for their entire professional careers. It certainly changes the discussion when you don't have a first round pick. By the way, the SB Nation Mock Draft will be coming soon.
3. YET ANOTHER CLASSY MOVE BY THE TEXAS RANGERS: This isn't basketball related, but after yesterday's awful news surrounding the death of 38-year-old journalist Richard Durrett, the Texas Rangers are establishing a fund for Durrett's family. The link will give more information on where donations can be sent. Durrett's wife has two children, with a third on the way, so the proceeds will go directly to them.
4. DIRK HITS BALL!: On a lighter note, Dirk Nowitzki's annual Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game will be held this Saturday in Frisco at the Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Fearless Leaders Tim and Rebecca will be there and Mavs Moneyball will cover it "gameday" style, so expect great content later this weekend.
5. MEMORIES: With the draft approaching a week from today, I leave you with this:
Thanks to all, and to all a good thanks.
