Both the Warriors and the Mavericks have banged up point guards headed into Wednesday's meeting, even if only one of them is the reigning league MVP. Stephen Curry is listed as questionable and will be a game-time decision with a lower left leg injury.
Deron Williams, meanwhile, has missed the last two games with a hamstring strain and is also listed as questionable. When asked after shootaround about Williams' participation, Carlisle said he's "doing more each day." I asked him to clarify and got this response: "Was he a full participant? I'd say he was, yeah."
While that technically answers the question, it feels like the answer wasn't as concrete as you might have expected. Ah well. Carlisle is notoriously tight-lipped, so it's hard to say whether this means Williams will be active or not.
UPDATE: Carlisle later stated that Williams will not play in tonight's game, according to ESPN Dallas' Tim MacMahon.
Leandro Barbosa is also out for the Warriors, but head coach Steve Kerr, who has missed the entire season with back surgery complications, is on the trip with Golden State, even though Luke Walton remains the interim head coach.
