The Dallas Mavericks started Rajon Rondo, Raymond Felton, Richard Jefferson, Charlie Villanueva and Amar'e Stoudemire in a 2015 NBA game. What a time to be alive, my friends.
Rudy Gobert made his presence felt with a season-high 20 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks. Amar'e Stoudemire struggled early with Gobert's length, but he made some nice adjustments as the game progressed. Stoudemire finished with 15 points on 7-11 shooting.
The Mavs forced eight turnovers in the first quarter. April basketball is just fantastic. Bryce Cotton, on the other hand, does not care that April basketball is meaningless because he dunked on the entire Mavs reserve squad.
Without their usual bevy of scorers, Charlie Villanueva was allowed to roam free all evening. Charlie V finished with 15 points on 6-13 shooting. His recent stretch of extended playing time should pay dividends in the playoffs. Charlie is the kind of heat check guy who can swing a game or even a series.
With the playoffs looming, Rajon Rondo began resembling the playoff killer he's been known to be throughout his career. Rondo attacked the lane with more purposefully tonight, which resulted in a handful of free throws; he made 3-4. Since March 1st, Rondo is shooting 72 percent from the free throw line. If he can maintain that level of shooting through the playoffs
First night all season that Rajon Rondo has hit multiple 3s and multiple FT

In the second half, the entire Jazz team turned into a collective torch. At one point, they were 6-6 from on threes in the second half. Their shot making created separation that the Mavs couldn't close.
The Mavs final game of the season will be on Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. Dallas can clinch their 12th 50-win season since 2000 with a win.
Game Observations
- The Mavs set a team record for threes made in a season.
