Mavs Moneyball takes on another offseason, but first, thanks for reading!

I swear it's like this offseason thing happens every year.

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Here we are again, sitting at the threshold of letting one NBA season go and embracing another. It can be tough to figure out exactly how long we should dwell on 82+ games before adjusting our focus. I can tell you how we plan to do it, though.

First, I want to thank you. If you're reading this, you've almost assuredly clicked on at least one Mavs Moneyball post, whether it was our 4,500-word preview of the playoff series or a 45-word post in the #misc section about a silly block we enjoyed. There's a lot of different kinds of Mavericks coverage out there and much of it is great. Above anything else, our goal is to have more fun than any of those other guys. I think, by and large, we have accomplished that.

So thanks to all of the MMB readers, followers, Facebook fans, commenters, lurkers, rec-a-funny-comment-but-rarely-post-ers. Thanks for hanging out, enjoying the hard work we put into this site and making everything we do worthwhile.

Our plan is to take the next couple of weeks to decompress from everything that happened this year before rushing ahead to offseason coverage. We'll have a series of roundtable questions from our staff and we'll review the seasons of the five (just five!) Mavericks who are still under contract for the 2015-16 season.

After that, we'll start looking at the 10 Mavericks not under contract and prepare some draft coverage. A successful pick at No. 21 would do wonders for this franchise.

We have a lot of coverage planned -- totally free, definitely smart, always fun. Before you know it, my flight will be landing in Las Vegas for Summer League. Don't check out! If there was EVER an offseason you'd want to follow, this is the one right here.

Thanks again. Cheers to 2014-15.
