Chandler Parsons should be ready for the season opener, per report

The Mavericks' small forward underwent knee surgery last month.

Chandler Parsons is not only free from his crutches, but his recovery from last month's knee surgery is on schedule to have him ready by the start of the Mavericks season, according to ESPN Dallas' Tim MacMahon.

There was some concern that Parsons might have had microfracture surgery when he gave this puzzling answer, but sources in MacMahon's article says he'll be good to go when late October rolls around.

Parsons missed the last six games of the regular season and reinjured (or at least tweaked) it in his return in Game 1. He was ruled out for the playoffs and underwent surgery shortly after the season ended.

Parsons is definitely off his crutches, thanks to a clutch photo from TMZ Sports showing him and new girlfriend, German supermodel Toni Garrn, walking around New York.

To sum this story up in a few words: Chandler Parsons' summer is going about as well as it possibly could.
