It's been 17 years, but Dirk Nowitzki is still as pleasant to watch as he ever was. He may not blow by defenders like he once did the wind up on his jumper may be a bit slower, but Dirk has aged like a fine wine. The Big German put up 17.3 point per game this season on modest shooting splits. He hit a terrifying slump midway through the season caused by a mysterious stomach ailment. Nonetheless, Nowitzki course corrected himself like the robot he is just in time for the playoffs.
I could have made this video 30 minutes long. There is nothing more pleasant than watching Dirk shoot the basketball. It's incredible to watch him create space with his intricate footwork. At age 36, he's still deadly from all over the floor. He may not be able to carry the load for 82 games, but Dirk can still put a defender in the torture chamber with an iso from the mid-post. We're lucky to have had this guy for so long.
