Mark Cuban doused the idea that the Mavericks would be highly active before the trade deadline arrives later this month on Feb. 18.
"I don't even know when it is," Cuban told media prior to the Mavericks' 91-78 win against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. "Seriously. There's nothing really that's tempting us, or any conversations. The chemistry's great."
Cuban didn't elaborate much, and certainly you can solely take him at his word, but it does appear as if the Mavericks like their group of players that are outplaying almost every expectation given for them headed into the season. If there is a hole the team could fill, it would have to involve a bench that could use a true scoring threat.
There are some trade rumors around the NBA, such as the Atlanta Hawks supposedly shopping Jeff Teague. Although we suggested a potential swap involving Deron Williams, it's still unlikely that any actual movement occurs on that front. Cuban's thoughts only confirm that.
