James sitting out of games against the Mavericks isn't anything new. He sat out of Dallas' 109-90 win in Cleveland on Jan. 4 because of rest. The last two games he's played against the Mavericks, though, LeBron has averaged 27 points, 8.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists on 61.3 percent shooting.
This is a golden opportunity for the Mavericks as they look to start a new winning streak. While they still need to find ways to contain Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, Dallas' chances to win this game just got better.
If all goes according to plan, it will either be Iman Shumpert or former Maverick wing Richard Jefferson to start in place of LeBron. Certainly, you'd hope Dallas can pull this one off in the King's absence.
