David Lee out for the rest of the Mavericks-Thunder series, per report

New, comments

Add David Lee to the growing list of Mavs who are out.

David Lee will miss the rest of the Mavericks' series with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to ESPN Dallas' Tim MacMahon.

Lee suffered a partially torn plantar fascia in the final game of the regular season against the San Antonio Spurs. The injury caused Lee to miss the first two games of the playoffs.

However, Lee returned to action in Game 3 and Game 4. He's averaging six points on 75 percent shooting and pulling down three rebounds per game.

Lee's absence means that we can expect a healthy dose of Zaza Pachulia, especially if Salah Mejri, who sustained a hip injury in Game 4, isn't at full strength.

It may also open the door for Dwight Powell and maybe even JaVale McGee to see minutes.

Whatever the case, this isn't good news for the Mavs. They are already without Chandler Parsons, Deron Williams, and Jeremy Evans. And almost every player on the roster is playing through injuries whether they are officially listed or not.
