Welcome to the first edition of our weekly column rounding up the best, mostly Mavericks-related, social media posts of the week. I will spend time on twitter dot com so you, the reader, don’t have to.
The Mavericks started their season this week and played three games. Dennis Smith Jr. dunked, don’t worry what else happened. Okay, fine, the Mavs went TK-3 and DSJ missed two of the first three games and it’s not getting much better. But this is why we have social media, so we can all be sad together!
Without further ado, here are some tweets.

Welcome to the association, Dennis Smith Jr. Please keep doing things like this forever, thanks in advance.
Dennis Smith Jr. is the youngest player ever to have a points/assists double-double in his career debut. Previous youngest was Jason Kidd.

Take that Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball, De’Aaron Fox, Frank Ntilikina and every point guard in NBA history.

Yeah, there’s gonna be a lot of DSJ praise here. I’m not apologizing.
Powell hitting threes is like seeing a cat play the piano. Im confused but I will watch.

Luca Doncic, hello.
Team Tank is already showing out early in the season.
I could care less the Mavs lost a game to the Hawks.

I care about how the Mavs develop and treat their young core. That matters.
Josh bringing the level-headed take. That’s not what twitter is for, Josh! Get out of here with your logic and reason.

Follow @mavsmoneyball for quality tweets like this one. Or don’t, I’m not your boss. But you definitely should.

And we finish off with Dennis Smith Jr.’s excellent taste in fashion apparel. Thanks for joining us on this week’s edition of Social Sunday.
