THE STORY: Our intrepid Mavericks are 1-0 in preseason, having defeated a young fun Bucks team the other night. Tonight, they start the first night of a back to back at home against a substantially re-vamped Bulls squad featuring Zach LaVine, Robin Lopez and almost-Maverick Lauri Markkanen, among others.

I’ll be watching for whether Rick Carlisle changes up the starting lineup to experiment with different combinations, whether Dennis Smith Jr. improves over his debut, and which of the fringe roster guys stand out.
