Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will be making his way from the sidelines to the court for All-Star Weekend. Cuban is one of a number of personalities that will play in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
Cuban will suit-up for the West team that will feature the likes of former NBA player Baron Davis, WNBA star Candace Parker, Master P, and Romeo Miller (formerly Lil’ Romeo).
The East team is comprised of former NBA player Jason Williams AKA White Chocolate, WNBA player Lindsay Whalen, Nick Cannon, and Win Butler of Arcade Fire to name a few.
Cuban won’t be the only NBA owner participating, though. He’ll be squaring off against Milwaukee Bucks owner Marc Lasry who will play for the East.
The Mavs’ owner tamped down expectations when asked what people could expect from him in the game Thursday before the Mavs took on the Jazz.
“I’m just going there to survive,” Cuban joked. “Shit, the only double-double I’m going to get is run down 10 times, run back 10 times.”
But he added that he looked forward to getting the chance to play.
“You know as you get older, if you don’t do it, you ain’t ever going to do it,” he said.
We know who we’ll been rooting for.
