NBA Draft 2017 results: pick-by-pick tracker and open thread

Chat along in the comments as the draft finally begins and the Mavericks snag their guy — whoever that may be.

NBA: Dallas Mavericks at Atlanta Hawks Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

The moment is finally upon us, gang.

Who will the Dallas Mavericks select tonight? Will it be their point guard of the future in Frank Ntilikina or Dennis Smith, Jr.? Will they go offense with Malik Monk? Will they shock the world and trade up for someone like Jonathan Isaac?

Or will they Mavs it up and pick Random Combo Guard from Some Country No One Has Heard Of? Let’s hope they buck that particular trend and do something safe and sane and very reasonable.

Chat along in the comments below and root for your favorite prospects as we update this post with each pick in the draft as they happen. (We can’t promise no spoilers — as far as I’m concerned, Woj leaks are “official”.) Tune in to ESPN or WatchESPN online for your live coverage.

I, personally, am rooting for madness, because that’s what the NBA does best and that’s why it’s the best sport ever.
