The two-way spot on the roster became available after the Mavericks waived Kyle Collinsworth, so we must say goodbye to Kyle and his fantastic hair. Collinsworth was in and out of the rotation and only managed to see 23 minutes of court time during his time in Dallas.
Rick Carlisle suggested that Collinsworth may be back on the team at some point.

In four games for the Pelicans, Jones tallied 19 minutes and contributed five points and three rebounds. This signing won’t have much effect on the Mavericks’ rotation, but will give Rick another option at the wing spot, where the team has had some struggles so far this season.
Jalen Jones is a Dallas native and has spent time with two G-League teams. During his stints with the Texas Legends and the Greensboro Swarm, he averaged 19.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 29.6 minutes.
