THE STORY: The Mavericks and the Trail Blazers always seem to play exciting games, no matter the standings. There was the game that gave us the affectionately nicknamed “Portland Play” (Monta Ellis hitting that three from the top of the key on an inbounds with like, 1.2 seconds left or some such) and there was Yogi Ferrell’s breakout game last year when he went out of his mind hitting treys all over the damn place. He was on a 10-day contract then! Seems like so long ago.
Anyway, the good guys have had a nice stretch of time off, so we should see fresh legs for this one. Stay up with us, won’t you? Let’s go Mavs!
