Dirk listed as ‘questionable’ for the first time this season

Home fans might be in for a treat

According to the latest injury reports and ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Dallas Maverick legend Dirk Nowitzki is listed as ‘questionable’ on the injury report for tomorrow night’s game against the Atlanta Hawks.

Dirk had season ending ankle surgery in April and may have taken his time during the rehab process and enjoyed his summer. Pair that with his age and general mummification, the setback he suffered just before training camp meant a surprisingly long road to recovery for Nowitzki.

His return will be a welcome one for Dallas, despite creating a logjam in the Maverick big man rotation. Despite a rough start, the Mavericks have played supremely well through most of November and December, winning 14 of 25 games. How the Mavericks work in a Hall of Fame player and top scorer in NBA history shouldn’t be a story, yet few would have expected the Dallas bench to be among the league’s best.

Look for an update to the situation by early afternoon.
