GAME THREAD: Dallas Mavericks at Brooklyn Nets

New, comments
NBA: Brooklyn Nets at Dallas Mavericks Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

WHO: Dallas Mavericks visit the Brooklyn Nets

WHAT: Each team is playing on the second night of a back to back

WHEN: 6:30pm Central

WHERE: Barclay Center, Brooklyn, New York

HOW: Fox Sports Southwest, Fox Sports GO or NBA League Pass

THE STORY: The Mavericks have no reason to win. The Nets have no reason to lose. TANK WARS REMIX.

According to Mavericks PR, Harrison Barnes is getting the night off as is Dorian Finney-Smith. J.J. Barea is doubtful as of this writing with a rib injury but I expect he suits up. Allen Crabbe is sick and won’t play for the Nets and Dante Cunningham is out with a concussion.

UPDATE: According to The Dallas Morning News’ Eddie Sefko, Nerlens Noel will also miss the game, due to “injury management.” That’s a clever way of saying tanking! Salah Mejri is also out.

This is a tough one to call because both of these teams are still playing really hard. The Nets play at a very fast pace and shoot a ton of threes so with the offensive players involved on both teams this game could be a sneaky fun watch.

We’re getting awfully close to single digit games left in the season. It’s been a tough one but I recommend soaking it in as much as you can.

Go Mavs!
