THE STORY: If you’re hanging around at this point in the season, you’re a true Mavs Fan For Life. If you haven’t caught up with the game preview yet, click here and give it a gander.
A game without Dennis Smith Jr. stinks, but watching a recently revived Harrison Barnes against a good defense should be worth tuning in for. As Bobby Karella points out, Barnes has elevated his game as the season’s winding down:
Over the last 19 games, Harrison Barnes is averaging 19.8 points, taking 5.3 free throws per game, and shooting 36.1 percent on 4.4 3PA. Big increase in FTA from last season (3.6).

Of course, when one dives into the specific games there are some games, like the Sacramento game, where his numbers are just plain inflated, but that’s going to happen over the course of the season. By and large, Barnes has looked better lately and that matters. Will he look good against the Jazz?
Oh and you should always consider tuning in to watch Dirk Nowitzi, who is inching closer and closer to passing Wilt Chamberlain on the all time scoring list.
As always, be good to one another in the comments and go Mavs.
