WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Sacramento Kings
WHAT: The Mavs sit a game and a half behind (ahead?) of the Kings in the race to the bottom of the Western Conference.
WHERE: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California
WHEN: 9:00 p.m. Central
HOW: FSSW, Fox Sports Go, or NBA League Pass
THE STORY: In their final meeting of the season, the Mavericks face off against a Kings team that’s chasing them for better draft lottery odds. Sacramento has stumbled in their quest to catch Dallas recently, though, going 4-6 in their last 10 games. Meanwhile, the Mavs posted a record of 3-7 in their last 10 and have dropped five in a row. Tonight, something has to give and the Mavs might just have the upper hand when it comes to losing their sixth straight.
As of this writing, J.J. Barea is out and Dwight Powell is uncertain tonight. Dirk Nowitzki, who is dealing with knee tendinitis, is expected to play. Sactown is mostly healthy, although Garrett Temple missed the last two games and so has noted Mavericks-destroyer Zach Randolph. It’s uncertain if either will suit-up. Z-Bo averages 18.4 points on over 50 percent shooting and 9.4 rebounds against the Mavs for his career.
