WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Orlando Magic
WHAT: A potential tanking smorgasbord the likes of which we’ve never seen.
WHEN: 6 p.m. Central Time
WHERE: Orlando, FLA
HOW: Fox Sports Southwest or NBA League Pass
THE STORY: The Dallas Mavericks won last night, fairly convincingly, against the third-seeded Portland Trail Blazers last night. Dennis Smith Jr. had a tasty dunk and also a pretty phenomenal performance against one of the best backcourts in the league.
The Orlando Magic also won last night, pulling the pants down on the New York Knicks. The Magic and Mavericks are separated by a half-game in the standings as both are jockeying for position for the best draft odds in the lottery. Both teams won games on the road last night. So that means both teams arrived to Orlando in the wee hours of the morning. Coming off a win.
Oh, and here’s who is sitting out for the Mavericks tonight:
Dirk Nowitzki (left ankle impingement), Harrison Barnes (rest), Dennis Smith Jr. (knee) and Dwight Powell (knee) will not play for the Mavericks tonight in Orlando, a game that could have significant impact on lottery odds.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are in for a hell of a tank-off tonight. My god have mercy on our souls.
Go Mavs.
