Tonight, we find out if the long, sad 2017-18 season of tanking all paid off.
The NBA Draft Lottery is tonight, and the Mavericks could land anywhere from number 1 to number 6, with the best odds having them land with the number three pick. (The Phoenix Suns have the best odds of landing at number one.) Michael Finley, Assistant VP of Basketball Operations, will be representing Dallas tonight.

It’s been a while since the Mavs have picked this high, and all indications are that the team doesn’t intend on tanking another year. Of course, so much of that will depend on how high they pick this year.
