The Dallas Mavericks announced their Summer League roster today. After a deep Vegas run last year, the Mavs are bringing back several headliners from that team as well as some fresh faces.

Luka Doncic and Dennis Smith Jr. are both this year’s roster, meaning we might get our first look at how they play together. Just don’t expect them to appear in many games. Doncic has played in a staggering number of games—more than 150 in the past two years—which is why the Mavs initially said it was unlikely for him to play in Las Vegas this summer. Apparently, plans can change.
Another name that stands out is Dorian Finney-Smith, who missed 60 games last year after injuring his knee. Third year players who are still playing Summer League don’t usually make opening day rosters. Keep an eye on DFS, his Summer League production could likely the deciding factor in him earning a roster spot with the Mavs.
All four of the Mavericks 2018 draft picks are also on this roster and we’re more likely to see some Jalen Brunson and Ray Spalding pick and rolls. Who knows, maybe we’ll even get another Johnathan Motley game-winner. The only thing we know for sure is that there will be plenty to watch in Vegas for Mavs fans.
